Upsetting
Heating tubing to malleable temperatures and running it through a forging process to alter the physical dimensions of the tubing's end.
Threading
API and special threads are produced on CNC lathes with high accuracy. In-line, tubing is hydro-and drift-tested to ensure the material meets all API specifications.
Heat Treating
Processing to J55-FBNAU, L80, N80, and P110 requires expertise in austenitizing and tempering carbon steel. Tensile tests, hardness tests, and chemical analyses are performed to ensure high quality and mechanical properties are achieved.
Nondestructive Testing
Through magnetic particle, electromagnetic, and ultrasonic methods, tubing is inspected to confirm that it meets specific parameters as defined by API.
